Lincoln County Animal Shelter
The project comprises cost planning for the Lincoln County Animal Shelter located on the property at the Newport Municipal Airport in Newport, OR. The scope of work includes costing the Concept, 50%, 75%, and 100% Design documents.
The intended design package consists of the construction of a new ~5,000 GSF single story animal shelter building. The current Animal Shelter facilities are provided out of modular and temporary facilities, which need to be replaced with permanent facilities. Ancillary facilities such as dog runs, exercise areas, larger animal corrals or shelters, pet adoption facilities, and storage will be included in the new design. The Lincoln County Animal Shelter cares for approximately 1,100 animals per year including sick, inured, surrendered, and abandoned dogs. Thousands of other animals receive help through licensing, the food bank program, lost and found efforts, human education, and disaster planning and response.
