DCW Helps Pioneer a Growing Movement of Equitable Business Succession
DCW has officially transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), a milestone that secures our long-term independence and reinforces our commitment to both our clients and our team. This change reflects our belief that shared success is the best path forward, and it positions us to continue delivering the collaborative, client-focused service you've come to expect. As one of the first Employee Ownership Trusts in Washington state, and among just 60 across the U.S., DCW is helping to pave the way for a growing movement in equitable business succession.
Founder and Managing Director, Trish Drew, led this transition with a vision to maintain continuity, honor our team’s contributions, and build a structure that empowers employees to help shape DCW’s future. Trish will continue to serve in a leadership role as Chair of the EOT Board of Directors, alongside representatives from our cost and project management, marketing, and systems and innovation teams.
Importantly, DCW remains a woman-owned small business, a core part of our identity. We’ve built a diverse team, with women representing over 50% of our management and operations. Our new ownership model preserves our WBE and WOSB certifications in both Washington and Oregon.
While our structure has evolved, our mission remains the same: to deliver accurate, strategic, and thoughtful solutions in cost estimating and construction management. With our team now more invested than ever, we look forward to deepening our partnerships and continuing to grow together.
